Coolum Beach
Coolum Beach –is another sought after area on the Sunshine Coast. Immaculate white beaches, pure blue waters and lovely views characterise a holiday in Coolum. Esplanade shops, cafes and eateries create a lively atmosphere while retaining a delightful seaside ambience. Its family friendly approach is reflected in the beachfront parklands, children’s playground, patrolled beaches throughout the year and public barbeque areas. A stroll along the boardwalk leads to the rocky headlands of Point Perry and Point Arkwright. Whale watching is even possible during the special moments of migrating season. Rising in the distance, Mount Coolum a 25 million year old volcanic dome is the second largest rock in the world and is steeped in Aboriginal legend and mysticism. Entrance to the National Park is free and the summit offers 360 views – truly breathtaking.
