    Mooloolaba Business & Tourism will be holding our fourth Mooloolaba Family Fun Day on Sunday 6th January from 12-4pm. We want to ensure that as many locals know about this as possible, so organise a bunch of neighbours and come on down! There’ll be fundraising activities by local community groups, as well as free activities for the kids to enjoy. So welcome the the New Year with a great, relaxed, AFFORDABLE day out in Mooloolaba with your kids and friends! Please also note that Mooloolaba Esplanade will be closed from 10am – 5.30pm on Sunday 6th January from the Brisbane Road roundabout to the corner of Burnett Street.     This free, family-friendly event is held on Monday 31 December from 4.00 pm until midnight and is packed full of live entertainment and fun activities including:

    live music on the main stage energetic live DJ sets carnival rides and amusements street performers, buskers and roving entertainers face painters and children’s activities two spectacular fireworks displays

    New Year’s Eve Mooloolaba is a fully fenced secure event area that is alcohol and glass free. Please be aware there will be amplified music and fireworks at 8.30 pm and midnight so ensure your pets are supervised. For further information, please visit http://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au .

    MOOLOOLABA’S CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE 2012

    Mooloolaba’s Christmas Boat Parade is fun for everyone!

     

    Bring your family, bring your friends. Pack a picnic. Get yourselves ready for a magical, floating light spectacular! Imagine – loads of colour, pretty Xmas lights, entertainment and more.

     

    Do you own a boat, small or big, and want to be in the night-time parade? Enter online, join in and you could win the Best Dressed Boat prize!

     

    Do you live on the Mooloolah canals* and want to show off your house? Enter online and be in the running for the Best Dressed House prize (*Please check your house eligibility online before entering).

     

    All entry fees will be donated to Sailability Sunshine Coast (a non-profit volunteer run organisation giving sailing experiences for disabled children and adults)

     

    Don’t have a boat or live on the waterways of the Mooloolah River? Don’t worry - you can still join in! We have a fun-filled afternoon of activities around The Wharf Mooloolaba, so come and celebrate Christmas with us!
