Mid-week the radio controlled yachts are on the river in front of The Wharf Tavern Mooloolaba for a lively afternoon of racing on Tuesday 1st July. Entry is open to anyone with an 10M class yacht. This is a very popular event for the sailors and visitors as they enjoy the ambiance of the Tavern and the chatter of the ‘thumb’ sailors battling it out over up to 12 races.

It’s a 45-minute, fun-filled musical ride through the amazing world of prehistoric reptiles that gets the whole family singing, dancing, laughing and learning. Over the past 1 million and 5 years, Jurassic Joe has presented his show at libraries, preschools, schools, museums, Australia Zoo, festivals from Sydney to Cairns and across to Darwin, and in an extended season at the Queensland Museum. Joe Landers, AKA Jurassic Joe, is a school music teacher, a proud dad, a gifted storyteller and a prolific songwriter (particularly when it comes to the subject of dinosaurs). With more than 20 years teaching experience from Kindergarten to Year 12, he has an invaluable working knowledge of the entire school curriculum and the developmental stages of children’s learning.
