Friends, bringing up a young family, work opportunities and lifestyle.
Where did you come from and what did you do?
Auckland, NZ. Worked in the media as a Cricket Sports Commentator and Television & Radio Host.
What is your favourite place in Mooloolaba?
Walking on the beach, having bbq’s and picnics on the spit… Sunday breakfast @ Raw Energy with my family.
What do you think is unique about Mooloolaba?
Water, weather, great place to bring up young families, great outdoor opportunities, the waterways, the walkways… what isn’t great?
What is your favourite café/restaurant and why?
Can’t choose one! The Surf Club for quick easy meals with families and a great drinking place when the sport is on! Spagalinis has a nice feel on the wharf and every time we’ve been we’ve had good food! And of course Raw Energy has the best organic and wholesome menu, fun service with brilliant breakfasts and lunches! Our favourite on a Sunday morning!
How would you define living in Mooloolaba in three words?
Sun, Surf and Energy!
Where would you take visiting friends and why?
The beach because it is the hub of the city, the surf club for a drink and of course a bit of sport and UnderWater World is pretty neat for kids.
How has Mooloolaba changed over the years?
The building developments and population explosion.
How would you describe the people of Mooloolaba?
Generally very friendly…
What is your most memorable experience connected to Mooloolaba?
Visiting here in 2000 filming the GJ Gardner advertisement for NZ television and wishing we could live in a place like this… and here we are… the dream became a reality…!!
