Sailing, fun and friendship! This is Mooloolaba Yacht Club, now based at The Wharf. The club members conduct fun races every Wednesday and Sunday, blue water racing and weekend regattas.

As announced at our Branding Launch, Mooloolaba Business & Tourism, in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Daily, have started a great new initiative – the Mooloolaba Service Awards.  The Service Awards Program is designed to encourage higher levels of customer service in all businesses. Rewards will be made available to individuals in each of four (4) categories of 1) Accommodation 2) Dining 3) Retail and 4) Business Services. We are looking for those special people amongst us who make Mooloolaba what it really is, a warm, friendly and special place to be.

There has been so much happening lately that I’m not sure where to start. But the Launch of our Brand is probably a great place. We had a brilliant night on 28th October, and everyone has commented on the campaign. As mentioned on the night, we have postcards available for our members to put on their reception desks or to just have on their counters for show.

 

LAW & ORDER IN MOOLOOLABA – A WORD FROM POLICE BEAT

September School Holidays saw the introduction of Quad Bike patrols into the Mooloolaba policing strategy.  I’m pleased to report that the operation was an outstanding success, which was well received by members of the public and holiday makers alike.  Police patrolled the beaches, parks and car parks by day and night targeting beach theft, deviancy, stealing from vehicles, traffic enforcement, drinking and public order by day and night.  The most effective results achieved from this versatile resourc

 

Mooloolaba Business & Tourism presented its new Branding Campaign to an audience of over 180 at Underwater World on Tuesday 28th October 2008.

Members and guests, who included Sunshine Coast Regional Council representatives including CEO John Knaggs as well as senior executives and Board Members of Tourism Sunshine Coast and neighbouring Tourism organizations packed Seal Cove at Underwater World for the Launch. Many guests commented that they had never before seen an attendance of this size for a business or tourism event on the Sunshine Coast.
